The Department of Ophthalmology treats all diseases of the eyes and orbits. Dr. Spanich has fellowship training in diseases of the cornea and glaucoma. Dr. Spanich has been providing comprehensive eye care and cataract surgery at Florida Medical Clinic since the Eye Center's beginning in 1996.
In 2011 the Department of Ophthalmology expanded into the Tampa area with the addition of Dr. Diego Wright. We now offer full service eye care and cataract surgery in both Zephyrhills and Tampa locations.
The Optical Center, located at the Zephyrhills location, provides contact lenses and eyeglass services.
Consultative services are available for:
- Cataract evaluation
- No stitch cataract surgery
- Diabetic evaluation
- Macular degeneration evaluation
- Medical and surgical assessment of glaucoma
- Medical and surgical assessment of corneal diseases
- Evaluation and treatment of eyelid diseases
