Dr. Clark recognizes that there are a number of reasons that a patient might consider anti-reflux surgery and he is committed to helping patients access the care they need, whenever they feel comfortable making the decision. For instance, surgery may be recommended to patients who:

• Were once able to manage their symptoms with medications and lifestyle changes, but are no longer able to achieve adequate relief from these methods
• Are experiencing significant side effects from acid suppression medications
• Prefer not to develop a lifelong reliance on acid reflux prescriptions (however, some individuals do require medications for occasional heartburn, even after surgery)

Throughout his career, Dr. Clark has completed a number of anti-reflux surgeries, using both traditional and minimally invasive techniques depending on the unique needs of their patients.
