Dr. Evita Persaud is a licensed clinical psychologist dedicated to providing warm, collaborative, and evidence-based care. She earned her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from Xavier University in 2022 and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida graduate, where she graduated cum laude.
Dr. Persaud’s areas of expertise include anxiety and panic disorders, chronic illness self-management, eating and body image concerns, emotion dysregulation, relationship and interpersonal functioning, adolescent and emerging adult development, and women’s health concerns. She utilizes evidence-based behavioral interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
Dr. Persaud’s approach is rooted in both reflection and practical action. She works collaboratively with patients to create personalized, solution-focused treatment plans that empower them to set clear goals, track progress, and build effective coping skills. Her goal is for each person to feel informed, supported, and confident in their ability to create lasting, meaningful change.
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Persaud enjoys painting and sketching, cooking savory dishes, and reading historical memoirs and thrillers.
