At Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health, vascular surgery is used to treat conditions of the arteries and veins, including aneurysms, varicose veins, and peripheral artery disease. Our vascular surgery team is able to provide traditional surgical treatments, as well as minimally invasive catheter-based procedures and interventional radiology/cardiology treatments that can supplement and/or replace the need for surgical intervention.

We also use advanced diagnostic technologies to detect blockages, arterial weakening, and other complications that require immediate treatment. Additionally, we are vascular testing accredited by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (ICA). This indicates our adherence to the ICA’s high standards for facility safety, personnel and supervision, intracranial and extracranial cerebrovascular testing, peripheral arterial and venous testing, visceral vascular testing, and vascular screening technologies. This accreditation also speaks to the level of experience of our vascular surgery team, which meets or exceeds the ICA’s requirements for the number of patients treated and number of hours of continuing medical education completed by our medical director.

Aneurysm Repair and Stent Grafting

We provide various surgical treatments for patients requiring aneurysm repair and stent grafting. Our vascular surgery team will review your condition and discuss if surgery may be right for you.

Angioplasty

Surgical procedure used to restore blood flow through the arteries. Angioplasty may be used to minimize chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart, or to minimize damage to the heart muscle.

Carotid Artery Surgery and Stenting

Procedure used to prevent the artery from narrowing. Within carotid stenting, a catheter is threaded through the arteries to the narrowed carotid artery in the neck.

Diagnostic Arteriography and Stenting

Minimally invasive test used to create a “road map” of the arteries. This is typically used to help determine the most appropriate method of treatment, such as surgery.

Dialysis Access Surgery
