Dr. Hicks is a native Colombian, raised in the city of Medellin. She is a naturalized U.S. citizen and has completed two dermatology residencies. She finished medical school and her first residency at Instituto de Ciencias de la Salud CES in Colombia in 2002. She completed two years of Internal Medicine and finished her second dermatology residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania in 2011. She started to practice that summer in the Tampa area and has made it her home ever since.
Her fluency with speaking English and Spanish allows her to see a diversity of patients. Dr. Hicks loves Dermatology, and her true passion is to be able to help her patients understand what they are going through and come up with a solution to their skin issues and hair loss problems.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hicks spends her days with her family and friends. She enjoys traveling, dancing, and being a part of a thriving community.
