Dr. Abdel-Karim A. Brown is a Board Certified Psychiatrist with Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Meharry Medical College and completed his psychiatry residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Dr. Brown offers comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for a wide range of mental health conditions for adults 18 and older.
He brings experience from both outpatient and in-home care settings. Dr. Brown has a special interest in community psychiatry and the integration of physical and mental health. He is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association and has contributed to research in pediatric transplant medicine.
Outside of clinical work, Dr. Brown loves spending time with family and friends, and listening to music. He has also held multiple leadership roles in academic and professional organizations and remains committed to mentorship, diversity, and patient advocacy.
