Alzheimer’s disease can be a difficult condition to diagnose. While there isn’t a single test used to conclusively diagnose Alzheimer’s, you can rely on our experienced team of neurologists to help you find the answers you deserve.

At Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health, we’ll conduct a comprehensive range of assessments to determine whether a person might have Alzheimer’s disease. This includes physical, mental and neurological exams, as well as imaging tests to rule out any other potential causes.

Our neurologists may conduct the following assessments to test for Alzheimer’s:

  • An analysis of the patient’s personal and family medical history
  • A memory test
  • A mental status test to examine the patient’s cognitive abilities
  • A full panel of blood, urine, and spinal fluid tests
  • An X-ray, CT scan or MRI scan
  • An EEG to monitor the patient’s brain activity
  • Any applicable genetic testing
