Dr. Capo is a board-certified cardiologist providing comprehensive cardiovascular care with a thoughtful, thorough approach focused on prevention, early diagnosis, and long-term heart health. He cares for patients with a wide range of heart and vascular conditions, with particular expertise in coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, hypertension, and chronic venous insufficiency.
Dr. Capo offers both clinical and invasive cardiology services. He uses advanced cardiac testing to evaluate heart function, blood flow, heart rhythm, palpitations, and other cardiovascular symptoms. His areas of focus include cardiac diagnostic imaging such as echocardiography, nuclear stress testing, cardiac angiography, and calcium score testing. He also diagnoses and manages implantable cardiac devices, including loop recorders, pacemakers, and ICDs.
In addition to heart care, Dr. Capo provides specialized treatment for venous disease, including radiofrequency ablation and Varithena® procedures for varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Capo believes in providing evidence-based heart care while taking the time to listen to his patients. He explains test results clearly, walks patients through their treatment options, and answers questions thoroughly. His goal is to deliver experienced, compassionate, and personalized cardiovascular care to the community he has proudly served for decades.
Born in Miami, Florida, Dr. Capo has lived in Tampa since 1997. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, fishing, golfing, reading, and attending church.
