Dr. Ilie is a board-certified general surgeon with advanced fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery from Emory University Hospital. She completed her general surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and earned her medical degree from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania.
Dr. Ilie has a special interest in treating complex abdominal conditions, including gastric pacer surgery and abdominal wall reconstruction. She is trained in robotic-assisted surgery and advanced laparoscopic techniques and holds certification on the da Vinci Surgical System.
Her patient care philosophy centers on compassion, clarity, and evidence-based decision-making. She empowers her patients throughout every step of their surgical journey, ensuring they feel supported and informed from consultation through recovery.
Outside of work, Dr. Ilie enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending meaningful time with friends and family.
