About Nyarai Chinyani Mushonga, MD

Dr. Nyarai Mushonga is a board-certified urogynecologist and reconstructive pelvic surgeon. She specializes in treating pelvic floor disorders, including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary leakage, and bowel control problems. With a decade of experience in urogynecology across Florida, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, she is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of her patients.

Dr. Mushonga earned her bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, followed by her medical degree from Rutgers University’s Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Camden. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where she served as chief resident, and pursued a fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Morristown, New Jersey.

Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology as well as in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Mushonga is licensed as a medical doctor by the Florida Department of Health. She is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is active in professional organizations including the American Urogynecologic Society, the American Medical Association, and the National Medical Association.
