Matthew Couch, MD

Dr. Matthew Couch is a board-certified general surgeon with over 15 years of experience delivering high-quality, patient-focused surgical care. He specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, with a strong emphasis on safety, precision, and long-term patient outcomes.

Dr. Couch earned his medical degree from Flinders University School of Medicine in South Australia and completed his general surgery residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He also holds a Master of Public Health from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, with a focus on environmental management and health systems.

Dr. Couch’s patient care philosophy is rooted in compassion, precision, and partnership. He believes every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, empathy, and respect. His goal is to provide technically excellent, ethically grounded surgical care that prioritizes patient safety, minimizes discomfort, and promotes healing through skilled intervention and ongoing support.

When he’s not in the operating room, Dr. Couch enjoys boating, fishing, and cheering on his three sons at their sporting events.
