Dr. Justin Thompson is a board-certified sports medicine physician with the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. He treats athletes and patients with active lifestyles who experience injury and those wanting to improve their performance and health. His expertise includes:

Dr. Thompson’s Training
Dr. Thompson earned his bachelor’s and medical degrees at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where he graduated with honors. He completed a family medicine residency at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, where he served as chief resident, and also completed a sports medicine fellowship.

Dr. Thompson is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine with a special qualification in sports medicine. His professional memberships include the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American Academy of Family Physicians and National Strength and Conditioning Society.
He enjoys sharing his clinical knowledge and love of sports as a member of the medical staff for sports teams at the youth, high school, collegiate and professional levels.
