Gregg T. Schuyler, MD, a native of Miami Beach, Florida, earned his undergraduate degree from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. He went on to attend the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, where he completed both his medical and Ph.D. degrees. His Ph.D. research focused on cardiac genetic changes during stress and aging.
Dr. Schuyler completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He continued his training there through the clinical investigator pathway, completing a cardiology fellowship and post-doctoral research in molecular genetics of cardiac hypertrophy. His advanced echo training included studying diastolic properties in trans-genetic mice and mitral valve repair in humans. He is board certified in cardiovascular diseases and has practiced non-invasive cardiology for over 20 years.
Dr. Schuyler is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is also a member of the American Heart Association, the American Society of Nuclear Medicine, and the American Society of Echocardiography.
