Ronald Torregosa Garcia, MD is a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist with more than 15 years of experience. His expertise includes complex percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), peripheral vascular interventions, mechanical circulatory support, ECMO, structural heart interventions, thrombectomy, vein ablation, renal denervation, geniculate artery embolization, and critical care cardiology. He also performs structural heart procedures including TAVR, M-TEER, left atrial appendage occlusion, and PFO closure.
Dr. Garcia earned his medical degree from East Tennessee State University and completed a masters in public health from Harvard University,  his Internal Medicine residency at the LA County/University of Southern California. He completed fellowship training in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of California, Davis; Advanced Cardiac Imaging at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center/University of Florida; Interventional Cardiology at Tufts Medical Center; and advanced complex PCI, structural cardiology and ECMO at Henry Ford Health St. John Hospital.
Dr. Garcia provides patient-centered, evidence-based cardiovascular care and believes in treating his patients like family. His research has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals, and he has presented on cardiovascular medicine at professional conferences. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, tennis, running, cycling, surfing, and traveling.
