wendy-holland-web I am a Bi-Lingual (Spanish and English) native New Yorker; I relocated to Tampa Fl. in 2013.

I have over 25 years of experience in Social Services that includes counseling, case management, advocacy and management. I graduated with my MSW from Adelphi University in 2004. I obtained the LMSW in New York State in 2010 and my LCSW in Florida in 2017.

Throughout my career I have one common thread and that is helping people live their best life possible. I worked with children, adolescent, young adults, adults and the geriatric population. I provided counseling with individuals battling addiction as well as individual with severe and persistent mental illness. Most recently, I provided counseling to the geriatric population and individuals having difficulty adjusting to living in the US.I am also certified in auricular acupuncture designed to help reduce symptoms of detox and anxiety.

I volunteered for 11 Years with a hospital based Domestic Violence Rape Advocacy program. In this role I was on call 48 hrs. (24 hrs.2 days) a month to respond to individuals who arrived at the hospital emergency room due to domestic violence or rape. In this role I counseled, refer and advocate for the individuals. While working on my undergraduate degree at Long Island University I was the President of the Latinos Unidos- a student club. I was also the co-founder of The Hispanic Heritage committee for the Red Hook Community Court. I also volunteered with an organization and worked with children infected and affected by HIV.
