Inpatient and Outpatient Dialysis Services Provided by Florida Medical Clinic

Dialysis | Kidney care |Renal Doctor

Florida Medical Clinic offers a comprehensive range of dialysis services to patients whose kidneys cannot adequately filter blood on their own. We provide both hemodialysis, in which an artificial kidney is used to filter blood outside of a patient’s body, and peritoneal dialysis, in which a small catheter is placed into a patient’s abdomen to filter his or her blood internally. Depending on a patient’s unique needs, these services can be provided in our centers or on an at-home basis.

At Florida Medical Clinic, we offer dialysis to patients with a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Polycystic kidney disease
  • High blood pressure or diabetes that result in kidney failure
  • Glomerulonephritis (an inflammation of the blood vessels that ordinarily help filter the blood)
  • Auto-immune diseases that attack the kidneys
  • Chronic urinary tract obstructions

Because dialysis is often provided on a long-term basis (and is often just one aspect of a patient’s kidney disease treatment), we make it simple for all of a patient’s physicians at Florida Medical Clinic to stay up-to-date on the patient’s progress. Our digital medical record allows our nephrologists, cardiologists, nutritionists, and other specialists to easily access a patient’s treatment plans and test results, enabling us to seamlessly monitor the patient’s chronic conditions throughout his or her life.
