Dr. Akhter (ak'-ter) was born in England, but spent the majority of her childhood and adult years in Brandon, FL.  Since most of her immediate relatives reside in and around the Tampa Bay area, she enjoys plenty of family time.  Hobbies include reading, and spending time with friends and family.
