In December 2010, Florida Medical Clinic started construction on the home of their new 30,000-square-foot administration building. “I have mixed emotions a little bit because I’ve been in Zephyrhills for such a long time, but this will be the first time I can put all of the administrative functions in one location,” said Joe Delatorre, CEO of Florida Medical Clinic.
Currently, the administrative offices are in multiple locations throughout Zephyrhills and Wesley Chapel. “Right now there is a lot of lost time going back and forth to meet with all these different people. This will be very nice to be more centrally located,” said Delatorre. The building will have similar structural design features like the Land O' Lakes facility and is expected to be completed by late October 2011.
The move of administration will allow for a much needed expansion in Zephyrhills for the Rheumatology and Urgent Care Departments . “We need more space for (same-day surgery) expansion, clinical rheumatology expansion and urgent care expansion all in Zephyrhills,” said Delatorre.
Florida Medical Clinic was established in 1993, and was the first clinic in our area to merge primary care physicians and multi-specialty physicians under one roof in an effort to provide the best possible medical treatment and education for area families. Florida Medical Clinic has offices in 17 convenient locations in Carrollwood, Town 'N' Country, North Tampa, Wesley Chapel, Land O’ Lakes, Zephyrhills, and Dade City.
