Florida Medical Clinic Employee Works To Receive House
Florida Medical Clinic’s Nicki Craig was accepted as a candidate for a
Habitat for Humanity home in January. The construction for Nicki and her
family’s home began on January 29, 2005 and was completed 5 months
later. Over 8,000 volunteer hours went into building this home for Nicki
and her family. People of the community, East Pasco Habitat for Humanity
and Florida Medical Clinic employees donated their time and effort to
this project. Florida Medical Clinic volunteers and Nicki worked more
than 325 hours on her home. This doesn’t include the hours that Nicki
and her two sons worked to help build homes for her neighbors.
Florida Medical Clinic has been involved with East Pasco Habitat for
Humanity for over 5 years. “Helping build homes and lives for the people
of our community is a reward that never ends” states Florida Medical
Clinic CEO Joe Delatorre. “We are very grateful to have Nicki Craig as
an employee and we are proud to be a part of her extended family.”
A dedication ceremony was held Saturday, June 25 for Nicki Craig, her
family and her new neighbors. A house is made up of walls, and floors
and a roof, but the people, Nicki and her family, will make it a home.
