Dr. Guttentag has extensive surgical experience in the areas of Sports Medicine and Knee and Shoulder Reconstruction. He has been the Medical Director and Head Team Physician for the Tampa Bay Lightning since 2002. Dr. Guttentag provides care to athletes of all ages and levels. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Florida Medical Clinic. He has a particular interest in knee ligament reconstruction, rotator cuff repairs, meniscus and cartilage repair and regeneration and total knee replacement. In addition he is one of only ten physicians nationwide performing MRI signature personalized total knee replacement which allows the knee to be placed specifically for the individual. A leader in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee, he is currently one of the few physicians in the Tampa Bay area performing the Oxford Knee, or rotating partial knee replacements. A native of New York, Dr. Guttentag moved to Florida in 1993. He is married with three children. A sports enthusiast, Dr. Guttentag enjoys tennis, running, and weight lifting. |
